Very humid in the morning. I worked in the garden with my Dad some. Then Ray and I walked over to Nancy's. We got a few eggs. It was hard walking up their drive, it was so heavy. We stopped in the community garden and picked a few tomatoes that were rotting on the vine. I looked forward to going in and taking my bath and putting on clean clothes. But soon I was hot and tired again, just sitting on the couch. As my Dad said, we assumed that the hurricane would go through and then we would have cool dry air, but no. On the other hand, we don't need to water for a while.
I worked some on my class work and Ray helped me with Excel a little. We nearly came to blows, but I think I have something to turn in. We'll see how well it is received.
He made lentil salad and I made quiche nicoise. We were supposed to go to Ashford Manor for a concert, but there was a big thunderstorm. Becky and Kent came to eat with us. She brought pineapple and ice cream and coconut and toasted pecans. It was all delicious.
They left early and we put the TV on, but I fell asleep two or three times and finally went to bed about 9.
