Pretty cold this morning, but the sun is coming to warm us up. Yesterday, we lit the fire in our woodstove for the first time this fall. It did a good job of taking the chill off while we scurried around in the dark. I am very much looking forward to the time change this weekend.

After I dropped off Ray and Dan, I headed over to the Ramsey Center to ride the bike for 30 minutes, the first time I've done it in a while. I'm a little sore this morning, but otherwise it's good. I spent a couple hours at the Economic Justice Coalition and reviewed some information for my Epi class, looking at the assignment for our big group project.

I stopped by the bank and went to Clarke Central to register as Elisa's guardians and change her address. Then I met Hunaid for lunch. We walked from his house to Lumpkin Cafe and sat outside in the sunshine.

After that, I headed downtown and met with the two other members of my group to talk about the project. We have some questions about the assignment that we will ask her next week. In the meantime, I need to do some research on some senators from the northeast and any well-known murders and suicides from the area.

It didn't take an hour, so Ray and I got to head home while it was still pleasant. We even let the chickens out for a bit, but I think they were unhappy about the weather. They didn't go much of anywhere and stood on the porch steps for awhile.

We threw together a pasta and bean salad for potluck and had dinner with our friends. At home, we watched TV. There's still lots of coverage of "the aftermath of Sandy." It's pretty horrible. Today I read about two people who drowned in their home! Amelia spent most of the day giving out food in a neighborhood about an hour away from her by bus, which was running but packed. She has food and electricity and heat and is just frustrated she can't get to work. The Public is in lower Manhattan, so it is still without power and closed.

I slept pretty well.
