too short, but silk

Yesterday I picked Janna up and we drove to Phipps Plaza to shop. I had a nice lunch at Nordstroms after trying on a bunch of dresses. i put two on hold and Janna one. We went to Loehmann's and she bought a pair of jeans. I tried some things on, but didn't like anything as well. We went back to Nordstroms and bought the things we had on hold. I tried on three more dresses and bought another one, a long sleeveless black dress by Eileen Fisher that looked terrific and I thought I might wear with a jacket I had liked at Chico's.

The trafffic home was bad. I had meant to leave a little earlier because I knew it would be bad. We got home in time to drop her off and go to a dance lesson at 5:15. I was about 5 minutes late. Ray met me there. My Dad had dropped him off, so we only had one car. We ate supper at the Royal Peasant afterwards. Then I stopped by Chico's to buy the jacket I had liked, but they didn't have it in my size any more. We drove home, watched a couple game shows, and went to bed at 9. All well and good, but then I woke up at 4. There was lightning when we went to bed and lightning and thunder when I woke up, but no rain.
