I went to the Fellowship at 8:30, with Kate and Dan, to set up for the poverty simulation. Only five people came, in addition to the twelve volunteers. It was unfortunate. We were supposed to have at least 35. The organizer was very nice about it. She showed a video and I cried. The people in it were like my IHN clients. The group talked for awhile. They think they will try again and get some UGA students to participate. We put everything away and went home.
Kate and Dan and I stopped at Aldi on the way back. It is a new grocery store that just opened. It's quite small and was packed. They have mainly generic products, not so many choices, and the prices are good. Easy to pick up some milk or something else. I need to find out about Aldi politics and employment conditions, etc.
It was early in the evening, so we had time to watch a movie from Netflix that had been hanging around--Good Night, Mr. Tom. It was described as "heartwarming" and it was, but also sadder than I had expected. Set during the Second World War, in England, the story of a boy who was evacuated to the country and billeted with a gruff old man, whose wife and child had died very young.
In bed before 10.
